I am a dental student passionate about the potential of AI in healthcare. My interest in orthodontics and my summer research inspired me to create a chatbot that can assist with dental-related questions. During my research, I explored how AI-generated orthodontic treatment plans compare to gold-standard plans created by board-certified orthodontists.

With the help of my boyfriend, Dan, a software engineer, we developed this chatbot using OpenAI’s GPT model. I provided specific requirements for how the chatbot should behave, and Dan implemented the solution. Our future goal is to fine-tune this model using real-world data from professional dentists to improve its accuracy and utility.
